Traffic: MD 27 North in Mount Airy closed

Northbound traffic on MD 27 in Mount Airy has been shut down from Liberty Road to Sams Creek Road due to emergency roadwork for more than four hours on Thursday morning, according to the state Department of Transportation.

DOT first reported the incident at 4:51 a.m. One southbound traffic lane is bi-directional due to the incident, DOT said.

All roads are open on Interstate 95 North in Baltimore City with the clearing of a three-vehicle collision past the U.S. 1 (Caton Avenue) exit, DOT said.

The Maryland Transit Administration reported at 9:15 a.m. that trains, buses and mobility vehicles are running on schedule.
