Traffic: Collision on I-895 in Baltimore City

A four-vehicle collision on Interstate 895 North in Baltimore City at the Steel Bridge has closed the northbound left traffic lane and northbound left shoulder at 7:38 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The incident had closed both northbound traffic lanes and the northbound left shoulder at 8:03 a.m. in a morning commute marred with accidents on I-895.

Southbound traffic on I-895 in Baltimore City has been reopened with the clearing of a three-vehicle collision at the Harbor Tunnel that shut down traffic for an hour after DOT first reported the incident at 7:38 a.m.

Photos posted on the Maryland Transportation Authority's Twitter page showed an SUV upended and resting atop the front driver's side of another vehicle.

The Maryland Transit Administration reported minor MARC train delays at 8:50 a.m.
