Baltimore County police have arrested a 71-year-old man for a shooting in Windsor Mill — one of two shootings reported in the county on Tuesday.

Kenneth Earl Briley is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center on attempted first-degree murder and related charges, after police were called at 4:31 a.m. Tuesday to Church Lane and Langrehr Road in Windsor Mill for a shooting. They found a victim in the 3700 block of Twin Lakes Court suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Police said Briley had pointed a gun at the victim's head, when the victim put his hands up and was shot in the hand. A police spokesman said it is unclear how Briley and the victim knew each other. Briley did not have an attorney listed in online court records.

Police were called several hours earlier, around 11:30 p.m. Monday night, to Allenswood Road, near Offutt Road in Randallstown, and found a man lying in the street about a block away on Allenswood, near Cassandra Road.

The victims in both shootings were taken to a local hospital.

Police have not determine if the victim in the Randallstown shooting was targeted or provide suspect information.

The department's violent crimes unit is investigated. Anyone with information on the shootings is asked to call police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
