June 30, 2014|By Scott Dance, The Baltimore Sun

This week is forecast to be a hot and humid one, starting with high temperatures around 90 degrees Monday.

Moderate humidity is expected under partly cloudy skies, with southerly winds of about 10 mph.

Humidity is forecast to surge Tuesday through Thursday. Highs Tuesday and Wednesday are forecast in the lower 90s with dew points in the upper 60s, an uncomfortable level of moisture in the air.

Overnight lows are expected to be balmy this week, above 70 degrees.

Thunderstorms are possible Tuesday and more likely Wednesday and Thursday.

Dry weather, partly cloudy skies, lower humidity and highs in just the lower 80s are forecast for the Fourth of July at the end of the week.
