A 54-year-old man was killed after the motorcycle he was riding struck a road median in Annapolis early Saturday, police said.

Just after midnight Saturday, Forrest Andrew Williams of Annapolis was driving on Green Holly Drive near Seabright Drive when he lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown from his bike, police said.

Police said alcohol and non-compliant headgear contributed to the crash.
