Chiefs are second

  • The Havre de Grace Chiefs 18U Girls Fastpitch Softball team placed second in the 2014 Maryland/Delaware Class C State Tournament last weekend. The Chiefs had a 5-4 come-from-behind win over the Forest Hill Heat and a 5-1 win over the Freedom Firebirds. Both teams had beaten the Chiefs in previous tournaments. In the state final, the Chiefs just couldn’t get the hit when they needed it, losing to the CFR Squeeze, 2-0. The Havre de Grace Chiefs 18U Girls Fastpitch Softball team placed second in the 2014 Maryland/Delaware Class C State Tournament last weekend.
