A pair of 2014 Broadneck graduates were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America team on Wednesday.

Midfielder Henry Welsh was named to the boys team and forward Ellie McNulty was named to the girls team. McNulty was an All-Metro first-team selection last year and will play lacrosse next season at Princeton.

Welsh and McNulty will receive their award -- along with 47 other boys and 52 other girls -- at the 2014 NSCAA High School All-America Brunch on Aug. 2 at Lake Buena Vista Palace in Orlando. The event will be in conjunction with the NSCAA Summer Symposium.

Good Counsel's Imani Dorsey was named the female High School Scholar Player of the Year.

To be eligible for the award, players must be nominated by their coach. Nominees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better through the first semester of their senior year, must have "demonstrated excellence in soccer" and must have performed community service.

A record 200 players were nominated this year.
