Bowie State president Mickey L. Burnim announced the appointment of Donna Polk as interim athletic director after the departure of former athletic director Anton Goff. She will assume that role effective July 12. Polk has served as associate athletics director and senior woman administrator since 2011, assisting with the department's day-to-day business operations. She previously served as head women's basketball coach and associate athletics director from 2008 to 2011.

Golf: Two First Tee of Baltimore golfers, DeAndre Diggs and Rihanna Stitt, each took home $2,500 at Bethesda Country Club after winning the RBC Wealth Management "Shot for College" 100-yard putting contest. The event, which was preceded by a clinic from PGA Tour golfer Brandt Snedeker, was open to golfers between the ages of 12 and 17.
