Baltimore police have arrested two men suspected of shooting a man in Southwest Baltimore last month, officials said.

Hasan Howard, 31, and Gerald Oglesby, 22, were each charged with multiple counts of attempted murder in the shooting of a man who walked into an city hospital on May 22 with gunshot wounds to his back and left hand, police said.

Detectives determined that the shooting — one of eight in the span of 24 hours that week — happened in the first block of N. Monastery Ave., police said.

In a separate incident in the same block, police found a man, who they later identified as Emanuel Johnson, 28, dead around 2 a.m. on Saturday.

The police department's Warrant Apprehension Task Force found and arrested Howard and Oglesby on Friday and Monday, respectively. The two face attempted first- and second-degree murder, various assault and handgun charges, police said.

Neither suspect had a lawyer listed in court records.
