Connecticut man shot and killed in Baltimore Saturday

Another man was fatally wounded in a separate incident

A man was shot in the head and killed in southwest Baltimore early Saturday morning, while a Connecticut man was found fatally shot inside a car in northeast Baltimore in the afternoon, police said.

Police found a man in the first block of S. Monastery Ave. near New Cathedral Cemetery shortly after 2 a.m. after someone called 911 to report a body lying on the ground. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. Police later identified him as Emanuel Johnson, 28, and said he also lived in the same block where he was found.

Around 1:45 p.m., police found a man shot in the head inside of a car in the 1500 block of Winston Ave., near the campus of Morgan State University. The victim, identified Sunday as Daniel Waldhaus, 31, from Shelton, Conn., was pronounced dead on the scene.
