Light punishment for alleged Towson brothel owner [Letter]

June 19, 2014

I was stunned to read that Di Zhang will be allowed to keep five properties that she has bought with money obtained through her alleged prostitution and human trafficking ring ("U.S. seizes alleged Towson brothel; owner will keep 5 other properties," June 18).

Human trafficking? What could be a worse crime than buying young people and forcing them into prostitution? That woman and her boyfriend should be stripped of every last possession, and the proceeds should go to her victims.
