Bible school

Art exhibits

The Howard County Arts Council hosts "Resident Visual Artists Exhibit 2014" and "Weaving Outside the Box: Exploring Idioms in Fiber" through Friday, June 27, at 8510 High Ridge Road in Ellicott City. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. Information: 410-313-2787.

'As You Like It'

The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company In-The-Ruins is presenting the comedy "As You Like It" through Sunday, July 20, at the Patapsco Female Institute Historic Park, 3691 Sarah's Lane. Shows are at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and at 6 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $15-$38, free for those 18 and younger with a paying adult. Genealogical help

The Howard County Genealogical Society offers a free help desk at 1 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month at the Howard County Library's Miller branch, 9421 Frederick Road. Research help is available. Information: 410-480-3250.

Blood pressure screenings Stop in from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays for free blood pressure readings by a registered nurse. Information: 410-313-1425.

Ask the Pharmacist Don Hamilton will provide the latest information on medications at 11 a.m. Monday, June 23. Bring questions, drug lists or prescription containers to discuss medication concerns.

Nutrition counseling Dietitian-nutritionist Rona Martiyan will be available for half-hour private consultations on nutrition from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 25.
