Man fatally shot in the head in E. Baltimore

Victim died two days after the shooting

A 49-year-old man was killed after he was shot in the head Thursday evening in East Baltimore, police said.

Antonio Stokes was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head at around 5:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of East Biddle Street, police said. Stokes, of the 3500 block of Shannon Drive, was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead two days later at 3:52 p.m.

Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
