A man was shot in Northwest Baltimore and took himself to a hospital early Friday morning for treatment of injuries that aren't believed to be life threatening, police said.

Police went to the hospital shortly after 1 a.m. to speak with the victim, who was shot in his chest and right calf. Investigators believe he was shot in the 5300 block of Wabash Ave., on the border of the West Arlington and Woodmere neighborhoods.

The man was treated and released from the hospital. Police released no information on a possible motive or suspects, and said anyone with information can call detectives at 410-396-2466.
