By Degrees Cafe has a pretty sweet World Cup-watching offer

By Degrees Cafe in Harbor East has a unique offer for World Cup enthusiasts.

Groups of six can "rent out" six seats at the cafe's bar for World Cup games. For $110, the group gets prime seats for their chosen game, and each person in the group gets a choice of sandwich and dessert and a beer, cocktail or soft drink.

If the team your group is rooting for wins, the house will buy you a congratulatory round.

By Degrees is taking reservations for groups of six on a first-come, first-served basis, said Omar Semidey, the cafe's chef and general manager.

Most games televised during the cafe's operating hours will be available, and Semidely said the cafe will not double-book times when there are overlapping games.

The offer starts on Thursday, with the opening match between Brazil and Croatia, and continues through the final on July 13.

By Degree Cafe is at 415 S. Central Ave. in Harbor East. For information call 410-522-0478 or go
