Kurtis Ewers

Dulaney, senior, pitcher-infielder

• Named Baltimore County Player of the Year by county coaches

• Hit .507 with four home runs for the Lions

• Was 4-1 as a pitcher with a 2.70 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 231/3 innings

Cody Morris

Reservoir, junior, pitcher

• Pitched the No. 2 Gators to the Class 3A state title with a two-hitter in the state championship game

• Compiled an 8-1 record, including a 90-15 strikeout-to-walk ratio and an 0.80 ERA

• Has committed orally to South Carolina and was named Gatorade Player of the Year for Maryland

Brian Parreira

Broadneck, senior, catcher

• Led the defense and the pitching staff for the Bruins

• Hit .439 and had 17 RBIs

• Will play baseball at Mount St. Mary's

Isaiah Pasteur

Winters Mill, senior, pitcher-infielder

• Was named Carroll County Player of the Year by county coaches

• Hit .483 in 18 games, including 28 hits, nine doubles and 25 RBIs; stole seven bases

• Will attend Indiana in the fall and play baseball

Zack Ridgely

Archbishop Curley, senior, outfielder

• Hit .365 with seven doubles and two home runs for the No. 8 Friars

• Had a 5-2 record, one save and 78 strikeouts in the tough Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference

• Will attend Radford in the fall and play baseball

Chris Ruszin

Chesapeake-AA, senior, pitcher-infielder

• Batted .479 in 25 games, contributing 34 hits and 22 RBIs for the No. 3 Cougars

• Went 9-0 as a starter, compiling an 0.57 ERA in 561/3 innings with a 59-19 strikeout-to-walk ratio

• Will play baseball at Towson

Brian Shaffer

North Harford, senior, pitcher-infielder

• Pitched the No. 5 Hawks to the Class 3A state title game, after compiling an 8-2 record with a 1.86 ERA and an 85-15 strikeout-to-walk ratio

• Had a .367 batting average and hit seven home runs

• Will play baseball at Maryland next season

Gavin Sheets

Gilman, senior, pitcher-infielder

• Batted .400 with five home runs and 36 RBIs for the Greyhounds

• Struck out 102 in 60 innings, winning seven games

• Will attend Wake Forest and play baseball next year

Peter Solomon

Mount St. Joseph, senior, pitcher

• Had a 1.69 ERA in 532/3 innings with 85 strikeouts for the No. 15 Gaels

• Defeated MIAA A Conference champion Spalding and Class 3A champion Reservoir this season

• Committed to play baseball at Notre Dame

Drew Spinnenweber

Chesapeake-AA, senior, pitcher-infielder

• Pitched a two-hit shutout in the Class 4A state championship game as the third-ranked Cougars defeated Sherwood, 2-0

• Had a 9-1 record and a 1.03 ERA with a 72-19 strikeout-to-walk ratio

• Hit .355 in 76 at-bats for the Cougars, contributing 27 hits and 12 RBIs; had a .969 fielding percentage

Troy Stokes

Calvert Hall, senior, outfielder

• The offensive leader for the No. 4 Cardinals, Stokes batted .325 with four doubles and three home runs

• Compiled a .958 fielding percentage, making four errors in 96 chances

• Will attend Maryland and play baseball
