A woman died Friday afternoon in the 3400 block of Reisterstown Road due to unknown trauma to her body, officials said.

Police went to the scene at 12:10 p.m. on Friday after somebody called them to check on a person's well-being, according to Sgt. Jarron Jackson.

There, officers found the injured woman and called medics to the scene, where the woman was pronounced dead.

"We're still investigating," said an officer on the scene, who would not give his name. "We've got more questions than we've got answers."

Homicide detectives were called to the scene, which is routine in the city, but police are waiting for the medical examiner to determine cause of death.

There were two other homicides in the neighborhood this week, one a few blocks from where the woman was found. Police do not know whether the cases are related.
