Farmstead Grill to open in Canton on June 16

Farmstead Grill, which will seek to make farm-to-table dining "everyday affordable," will open on June 16 in Canton. The restaurant's executive is Galen Sampson, formerly of The Dogwood.

First announced last October, the restaurant will serve lunch and dinner seven days a week, according to information provided by a restaurant spokeswoman.

Farmstead Grill occupies an approximately 6,000-square-foot building at The Shops at Canton Crossing. In July, a "companion kiosk" named Farmstead Shack will open across the park from Farmstead Grill. The kiosk will serve a menu featuring breakfast biscuits, hot dogs, brats and fresh juices.

Farmstead Grill and Farmstead Shack are owned by Charles Nabit, who also owns Waterfront Kitchen in Fells Point.
