A California man was arrested last Wednesday after Anne Arundel County Police said he allegedly sexually solicited a minor over a period of two years.

Police said Murray Lee Chesak, 25, of Ontario, Calif. is facing a sexual solicitation of a minor charge for allegedly asking the victim to send him sexually explicit videos and photographs. Police said communications began when the girl was 13 years old.

The police department's child abuse unit began investigating the case March 11, after the father of the victim discovered his daughter had been speaking with an adult male.

Police said the suspect was making arrangements in April to fly to Maryland, where he had allegedly booked a hotel room in the Annapolis area. The meeting never happened as a result of the investigation, police said.

Police coordinated Chesak's arrest with law enforcement authorities in California. He is currently incarcerated in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., awaiting extradition to Anne Arundel County.
