A man was shot in Reisterstown Friday afternoon, Baltimore County police reported.

Police and fire personnel responded at 2:56 p.m. to a home in the 200 block of Parkholme Circle, where they found a man suffering a single gunshot wound to the upper body, police said. The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police, where his condition was unknown late Friday night.

An initial investigation found that suspects entered the victim's home through an unlocked front door and confronted him, according to police. They shot him, then fled, police said, adding that investigators believe the victim was targeted.

The shooting remains under investigation.
