There will be plenty of sunny, dry weather for barbecues and beach strolls this Memorial Day weekend, according to early forecasts.

Mostly sunny to clear skies are forecast throughout the long weekend, according to the National Weather Service, the Weather Channel and AccuWeather.com. Only the Weather Channel predicts a chance of rain, only 30 percent odds, on Saturday.

Seasonable if not slightly cooler than normal temperatures in the lower to mid-70s are forecast Friday through Sunday, while the holiday on Monday is forecast to reach the lower 80s. Normal highs by late May are in the upper 70s.

The forecasts are essentially the same in the Baltimore area and at Maryland and Delaware beaches, though slightly cooler on the coast, so enjoy wherever you go.
