Expect traffic pattern changes for Preakness Stakes 2014

Pimlico Race Course officials said that several traffic patterns will be altered due to Saturday's Preakness Stakes, mainly involving Rogers Avenue, Winner Avenue, Hayward Avenue and Northern Parkway, according to the course website.

All vehicle traffic will be closed at Rogers Avenue from Winner Avenue to Northern Parkway from 10 p.m. Friday until 9 p.m. Saturday. Pedestrian foot traffic will be allowed, officials said.

Among other closures: Winner Avenue became open only to one-way traffic from Hayward Avenue to Rogers Avenue as of Thursday night and will continue as one-way traffic until Friday at 9 p.m., officials said.

And Hayward Avenue will be one-way eastbound from Park Heights Avenue to Winner Avenue on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., officials said.
