Society meeting

Bluegrass music

Savage Bluegrass plays at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at Sam and Elsie's Bar and Restaurant, 9994 Washington Blvd. in Laurel. No cover charge. Information: 301-317-7796.

Auditions

Laurel Mill Playhouse will hold auditions at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22, and 3 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at 508 Main St. in Laurel. Auditions are for those entering eighth grade to entering senior year of high school for the Teen Summer One Act Plays. Bring a resume, head shots and conflicts. A cold reading from the script will take place. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays from June 27 to July 12. Information: 301-452-2557.
