Loyola Maryland will host the Patriot League men's and women's championships this week after both teams won regular-season conference titles. Ridley Athletic Complex will host both championships, starting with the women's semifinals on Thursday. The top-seeded Greyhounds women will host either Colgate, Holy Cross or Lehigh at 5p.m. in the opening semifinal, while No. 2 seed Navy will play Boston University, Colgate or Holy Cross at 7:30 p.m. The semifinal winners will meet in the championship at 1 p.m. Saturday. The top-ranked Loyola men open their tournament play Friday, hosting the first semifinal at 4:30 p.m. Army is the No. 2 seed and will play in the second semifinal at 7:30 p.m.

More: Loyola's Joe Fletcher was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, Jack Runkel won Goalkeeper of the Year and Justin Ward earned Offensive Player of the Year honors. Fletcher, Runkel and Ward were all named first-team All-Patriot League along with midfielder Pat Laconi, attacker Nikko Pontrello and midfielder Brian Sherlock. Kevin Ryan Navy midfielder Gabe Voumard also received first-team honors. ... Loyola attacker Annie Thomas won Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, midfielder Marlee Paton won Midfield Player of the Year, and defender Maddy Lesher won Defensive Player of the Year.

Division III: Washington College attackman J.D. Campbell (Mount St. Joseph) was named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week. ... Frostburg State faceoff specialist Billy Lark and Salisbury attackman Luke Phipps (John Carroll) were named Capital Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week.

Severn baseball ran its winning streak to 10 games by defeating St. Vincent Palotti, 12-4. The visiting Admirals pounded out 11 hits and were led by David Jaklitsch, Kyle Nicholas, Jack Elstner and Christian Marciano, who went a combined 9-for-15. Marciano had three hits, while the others contributed two each. … South River defeated Bel Air, 13-4, behind the pitching of brothers Thomas and Ethan Falsone and an offensive output of 17 hits. Kyle Canavan had two singles, a double and a triple.

Minor league baseball: Double-A Bowie first baseman Christian Walker was named Eastern League Player of the Week after hitting his first two home runs in Double-A.

College baseball: UMES senior Byron Campbell and freshman Skylar Murray were named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively. … McDaniel senior infielder Joe Fiore was named Centennial Conference Player of the Week.

College softball: Mount St. Mary's pitcher Nicole Pagano was named Northeast Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week.
