Three Baltimore firefighters injured fighting fires in vacants

March 29, 2014|By Carrie Wells, The Baltimore Sun

Three Baltimore firefighters were injured fighting fires that broke out in two different vacant properties early Saturday, though their injuries were described as minor.

Both fires reached a single alarm but were under control before they could spread to other buildings, and their causes are under investigation, fire officials said.

Two firefighters were injured fighting a rowhome fire in the 500 block of Cumberland Street in the Druid Heights neighborhood, while one firefighter was injured in a fire in the 2200 block of West Pratt Street in the Carrollton Ridge neighborhood.
