Construction to close northbound I-95 overnight

Detours will be in effect next two nights

All northbound lanes of Interstate 95 will be closed overnight for the next two nights to allow for ongoing roadway construction north of Baltimore.

The work reconstructing the interchange between I-95 and White Marsh Boulevard is one piece of the larger project to reconfigure I-95 and its major interchanges north of the city and install new express toll lanes, which are set to open late this year.

The highway will be closed from 11:30 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday, then again from 11:30 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday, the Maryland Transportation Authority said.

The closures could extend later into the week if poor weather conditions delay the work.

Traffic will be detoured to eastbound White Marsh Boulevard to eastbound Philadelphia Road, to westbound White Marsh Boulevard, then back onto northbound I-95.
