Man shot on Belair Road early Wednesday

Victim in stable condition, police searching for gunman

A man was shot in the jaw and ankle on Belair Road in northeast Baltimore early Wednesday morning by an unknown suspect wearing a hooded sweat shirt and dark pants, city police said.

Police were called around 1:50 a.m. in the 5800 block of Belair Road where officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he is in critical but stable condition. Police did not provide additional information about the victim.

Police said he was approached by an unknown male suspect who had an unknown caliber handgun.
