The 2004 Chrysler Town and Country van sustained about $1,500 damage, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office, which has listed the cause as "incendiary."

A passerby reported the fire on the interior driver's side of the vehicle, which was parked in the 800 block of Windstream Way, about 5:10 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Fire Marshal Office's notice of investigation.

Six firefighters from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company got the fire under control in about 10 minutes, the Fire Marshal's Office said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fire Marshal's regional office in Bel Air, 410-836-4844.
