A Millersville man has been indicted for murder in connection with the shooting death of another man last Halloween during an apparent botched robbery attempt.
Gregory Dontae Lewis, 34, of the 700 block of Cecil Avenue, was indicted by an Anne Arundel County Grand Jury on Friday on charges of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, manslaughter, armed robbery and multiple firearms violations.
The victim, 44-year-old Rene Filsfdelfo Leiva Archila of Baltimore, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in a parking lot on Railroad Avenue in Harmans at 7:45 p.m. on Oct. 31. He died at a local hospital.
Anne Arundel County Police said they believe Lewis lured Achila to the location after posting a car for sale on through an online ad. Police allege that during a robbery attempt, Lewis shot Archila. A man who was with Achila that night escaped unharmed, police said.
