Anne Arundel County Police evacuated the Cinemark Theater at Arundel Mills Mall Saturday night after a report of gunfire, which was later determined to have been fireworks. No injuries were reported.

Police were called to the mall a little after 10 p.m. when they received a report of shots fired in theater No. 11, which was showing the new release "300: The Rise of an Empire." About 300 people were in the theater at the time, police said.

Police confirmed that there was no gunfire but that someone had set of some type of fireworks. Officers found the remains of juice bottle that had been filled with some sort of fireworks, police said. The fireworks did not cause any damage to the theater.

A number of vehicles and officers responded, a police spokesman said on Twitter, "out of an abundance of caution." In January, 19-year-old Darion Marcus Aguilar shot and killed Brianna Benlolo, 21, and Tyler Johnson, 25, near the food court in Columbia Mall before taking his own life.

The Fire Marshall's office was working to determine what type of fireworks were used and police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 410-222-6155.
