Paralympic athlete Jessica Long, who grew up in Middle River, will be featured on NBC's Olympic coverage in primetime Saturday.
The 20-minute feature, "Long Way Home: The Jessica Long Story," chronicles her rise to becoming a world class swimmer after being born in Russia and adopted by American parents.
Long, a 21-year-old double amputee, has won 12 Paralympic gold medals.
An NBC film crew followed Long as she retraced her early life with a recent trip back to her native Bratsk in Siberia. There, she met her biological parents and family for the first time.
The segment will air sometime after 8 p.m. Saturday.
