70-year-old woman assaulted, robbed in S. Baltimore

Police release video of suspect attacking victim, demanding cell phone before running away

Police on Tuesday released a video of an assault and robbery of a 70-year-old woman in South Baltimore early Saturday morning in hopes of identifying the suspect.

The video shows the woman standing in the street talking on a phone by a car, when the suspect crept up behind her, attacked her and demanded her cell phone. The incident occurred in the unit block of S. Stricker St. around 5:15 a.m. on Feb. 15, police said.

The suspect, described as a 6-foot black man wearing a black jacket and khaki pants, ran away, police said.
