Bryan Voltaggio, the chef behind the acclaimed restaurants Volt and Family Meal in his hometown of Frederick, and Range in Washington, will open his first restaurant in Baltimore.
The restaurant, Aggio, will be Voltaggio’s second Italian fine-dining restaurant. It will open at 616 Water St., in the space now occupied by Tatu Asian Grill at Power Plant Live, a spokeswoman for Voltaggio said.
The first Aggio location opened Friday in Washington. The restaurant features a menu inspired by authentic classics that use sustainable, domestic ingredients treated with classic and progressive techniques.
Tatu, which opened in 2010, will be relocated in a modified format elsewhere within the Power Plant complex, according to Alex Fine, development director for The Cordish Companies, which operates the Power Plant.
