February 14, 2014|From Sun staff reports

Because of the significant snow that hit the Baltimore and Washington markets Thursday, live racing at Laurel Park has been canceled for today.

This is the track's fourth cancellation of the year and second in two days.

Live racing is scheduled to resume Saturday with a 12:35 p.m. post time. The 10-race card features the $300,000 Barbara Fritchie Handicap (Grade 2) and the $100,000 John B. Campbell Stakes.

The Laurel Park racing office will take entries Friday for Monday's Presidents Day card, which is headlined by the $250,000 General George Handicap (Grade 3).

Laurel and its sister track, Pimlico Race Course, will be open for simulcasting.
