Two weapons and a bullet-proof vest were stolen Friday from an unmarked police car outside the home of an officer in Brooklyn Park, Anne Arundel County police said.

After parking the car Thursday evening, the Anne Arundel County police officer discovered the door and the trunk of his car were ajar the next morning, police said. Missing were a ballistic vest, a Colt AR 15 rifle, a .40-caliber Sig Sauer handgun and ammunition. The items were secured in the trunk out of view, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to call Metro Crime Stoppers and the Northern District Detective Unit at 410-222-6135.
