Rescue crews rescued two boys stuck on ice in open water in Pasadena, the Anne Arundel County fire department said Sunday afternoon.

The boys had been trapped on a Magothy River tributary in the 1100 block of Jeronco Way, said Lt. Jack Beall, a spokesman for the department. Rescue crews dispatched just after 2:30 p.m. were able to get life preservers to the pair, then bring them to shore at about 3:15 p.m. using an inflatable boat.

The boys were sent to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, Beall said.
