Co-Rec Softball

The Cindy La Rue Inter-Village Co-Rec Softball League is looking for players (ages 19 and older), especially couples and women, from all villages in Columbia. This is slow-pitch, non-competitive softball played on Sunday afternoons at Wilde Lake Middle School fields from early May to August. Athletic skill is not required, with the focus on having fun in a relaxing social setting. Everyone plays. There is a league-wide picnic and awards program at the end of the season. Baseball

Registration for the AYRA Spring 2014 Baseball season is open. Register by Feb. 21 to receive an Early Bird discount. Leagues are available for all players ages 5-18. Visit http://www.ayra.com for more details. The season runs from April 1 to the end of the school year. The AYRA provides a youth baseball program central to Clarksville, Columbia, Fulton, Maple Lawn, North Laurel, Savage and Simpsonville communities.

Soccer

The SAC United Premier White U13 Girls team ('00-'01) is looking to add a goalkeeper to its roster. Email mbonner@umd.edu for more information.

Soccer Association of Columbia is now registering players for the spring season, scheduled to begin the weekend of April 4. The league is open to players from ages 7-18. Teams meet for eight weeks for practices and weekend games. A clinic league for players ages 4 to 6 focusing on basic skills and teamwork is also available on Saturday mornings.
