A man was shot in East Baltimore Friday night, and while homicide detectives were initially notified due to the severity of his injuries, police said the victim's condition has since stabilized.

Police said the victim was in the 2200 block of E. Oliver St. in the Broadway East neighborhood when he was approached by two men, one of whom pulled out a gun and shot him in the torso. The suspects ran away and police announced no arrests or possible motive.

The victim was listed in critical but stable condition on Saturday morning, police said.
