January 25, 2014|By Carrie Wells, The Baltimore Sun

A man was fatally stabbed early Saturday morning after getting into an argument with two men on a street in West Baltimore, police said.

The man was found in the 200 block of N. Payson St. in the Penrose area at around 1 a.m. with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital about half an hour later, police said.

Baltimore went a week without a homicide until Saturday after a rash of slayings in the first couple of weeks in the year. Saturday's fatal stabbing is the 19th homicide in Baltimore in 2014.

Police have not yet identified the man, and ask anyone with information to call 410-396-2100.
