Need for revitalizing Long Reach Village is urgent [Letter]

January 24, 2014

My wife and I have been residents of Howard County since 1977, when we moved from Baltimore to EllicottCity.   We have frequented the village of Long Reach over the years and we are in favor of the county plans to redevelop Long Reach Village Center.

Needless to say, the village has experienced physical and social decline over the years, which should be reversed.  Unfortunately, there is even a growing concern for safety in the area.

We support the urgent need for revitalization of the village center with new innovative ideas that invite community.
