An 84-year-old Columbia man who had been missing since Tuesday, leading Howard County police to issue a Silver Alert, was found safe Wednesday morning, police said.

Seyed Ahmad Ghozati, 84, who was last seen by a family member at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday when he left their home in the 7500 block of Summer Leave Lane in Columbia, was found safe and unharmed in his vehicle in Susquehanna State Park in Harford County Wednesday, Howard police said.

Police said Ghozati went to make a delivery in Ellicott City for a courier service he works for on Tuesday. After making the delivery and attempting to return home, he called his boss, using his push-to-talk feature on his cellphone, several times to say he was lost and needed directions back to his house.

The last time Ghozati made contact with his boss was about 12:15 a.m., saying he was somewhere on Route 175 near Route 3 in Anne Arundel County.
