No. 5 Mt. St. Joe beats St. Paul's in overtime in basketball, 74-71

No. 5 Mount St. Joseph (19-3) outscored St. Paul's 9-6 in overtime to win, 74-71, in boys basketball Saturday night.

Iba Camara scored a game-high 20 points for St. Paul's (8-6). Jordan McNeil had 17 for the host Gaels.

No. 1 City 75, Stonewall Jackson 45: John Grant scored a game-high 19 points to lead the host Knights (11-0) past the Generals.

No. 13 Archbishop Spalding 42, John Carroll 36: Garry Jefferson had 14 points and Jourdan Grant had 12 as the Cavaliers (10-6, 5-3 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) topped the host Patriots (15-10, 4-4).

No. 14 Dulaney 86, Eastern Tech 46: The host Lions (12-0) made nine 3-pointers and Isaiah Lamb scored 20 points to beat the Mavericks (8-5).

Girls basketball

Severna Park 43, Annapolis Area Christian 42: Rachel Vander Kolk scored 26 points as the Falcons (12-3) beat the Eagles (8-4).


No. 7 River Hill at Iron Horse: The Hawks crammed nine matches into two days at the Catoctin Iron Horse Duals, and River Hill finished 8-1 to claim second place.

The Hawks' wins came against Lackey (34-27), Catoctin (41-30), Frederick (78-3), Fairfield (66-17), Mountain Ridge (36-28), Tuscarora (64-15), Boonsboro (72-12) and Liberty (71-12). River Hill's only loss was to Damascus, 55-24, which won the tournament.

The Hawks' Michael Beck (120, five pins), Logan Kirby (195, three pins) and Cory Daniel (220, seven pins) were undefeated.
