Man injured in attempted robbery in Baltimore

City police searching for two male suspects

Police were searching Saturday for two suspects in the shooting of a man in an attempted robbery in the city's northeast neighborhood of Waltherson, Baltimore police said.

Officers were called at 10:18 p.m. Friday to the 5000 block of Belair Road, where they found a man with gunshot wounds to his leg and back. He was taken to an area hospital, treated for his injuries and is in stable condition.

Police said he had been walking in the 5300 block of Belair Road when he was approached by two men. One pulled out a handgun and tried to rob him. The victim did not cooperate and was shot multiple times. The two suspects fled.
