Howard County police are investigating a report of a woman who said she was groped while jogging along a footpath in Columbia.

According to police, the woman was jogging near the 7200 block of Cradlerock Way about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday when she said she was approached by a teenage boy.

The woman told police the teen touched her inappropriately.

The woman described the teen as a black male, approximately 14 to 15 years old, about 5 feet 5 and wearing a red T-shirt and jeans, according to police.

Last summer, police reported three gropings on the East Columbia footpaths. Police stepped up patrol efforts, but no arrests were made.

That suspect was described as a black man in his 20s or 30s, approximately 5-10, 170 pounds with short hair and a medium build.
