Suffers graze wound to the chest

A 20-year-old woman was treated for a graze wound to the chest after she was hit by a bullet while standing in the street early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to an area hospital at about 1:45 a.m. for a report of a walk-in shooting victim. The woman, who was not identified, said was she was standing in the 2400 block of W. Franklin Street when she heard a gunshot and realized she had been shot.

Detectives from the Western district are investigating.
