Victim assaulted in Columbia home by gunman [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports. The Columbia Flier includes descriptions of perpetrators only when the description makes identification possible.

Jason Lane, 10500 block, 3:29 p.m. Dec. 31. Victim let acquaintance and unknown person into residence. Shortly after, victim assaulted by unknown person who had handgun. Victim escaped and called police. Police following up on possible suspects. May be drug related.

East Columbia

Tamar Drive, 8300 block, 4:30 p.m. Jan. 6. Woman walking was followed by white SUV. Victim looked into vehicle and observed man exposing himself. Police located vehicle and arrested Jason Thomas Fultz, 36, of Dorsey Road, Elkridge, who was charged with indecent exposure.

Millrace Court, 5900 block, 8:06 p.m. Jan. 6. Woman approached outside residence by man with handgun, who stole purse and fled.

Eden Brook Road, 300 block, 8:28 p.m. Jan. 3. Victim told police unknown person approached vehicle, pointed handgun at her and stole purse.

Monarch Mills, 7500 block, between Dec. 28 and 8:50 p.m. Dec. 31. Entry gained to home by cutting screen and forcing open apartment window. Gaming system stolen.

West Columbia

Cloudy April Way, 6000 block, 6:20 p.m. Dec. 31. Entry gained after breaking side window with rock. Jewelry stolen.
