The Columbia Association plans to open a new dog park in Harper’s Choice this spring. Dubbed Columbia DogPark, the 2.7-acre attraction is located off Rivendell Lane, near the association’s sports park at the Harper’s Choice Village Center.

The park will include water stations and separate fenced-in areas for large dogs and small dogs. The facility will be open during daylight hours seven days a week. The proposed yearly membership fee is $40 for Columbia residents and $50 for nonresidents, according to CA spokesman David Greisman. Proposed daily visit fees are $5 for residents and $6 for nonresidents.

Howard County’s Department of Recreation & Parks also operates a dog park in the Worthington neighborhood of Ellicott City. A third dog park, at east Columbia’s Blandair Park, is under consideration.
