2 men injured in Baltimore shootings Sunday

One shot several times, in 'unstable condition'; other recovering after being shot in back

Two men were hospitalized Sunday evening after they were shot in Baltimore, according to police.

A man was shot several times in the 1500 block of Myrtle Ave., in the Upton neighborhood, around 7:40 p.m., police said. The victim ran to a Dollar General in the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Ave. nearby, where he asked employees to call 911. He was taken to an area hospital and is in "unstable" condition, police said.

Detectives from the police department's Central District are investigating the incident, and anyone with information may call 410-396-2411.

A few hours earlier, a man was shot in the back around 4:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Kevin Rd. in Rognel Heights, police said. He was taken to the hospital and remains in stable condition, police said.

Southwest District detectives are investigating the incident, anyone with information may call 410-396-2488.

No suspects have been identified in either shooting.
