Traffic: JFX accident cleared; fire response impacts Loch Raven Blvd.

December 27, 2013|By Jim Joyner, The Baltimore Sun

The Maryland Department of Transportation is reporting that the JFX is cleared after accidents affected flow earlier this morning. One accident had closed all three southbound lanes near Northern Parkway, but everything is reportedly clear as of 7:45 a.m.

Meanwhile, there are reports that a section of Loch Raven Boulevard is closed near the Alameda due to response to the four-alarm fire at Northwood-Appold United Methodist Church.

Elsewhere, MDOT cameras are showing light volume all around the beltway, and traffic moving freely.

In Anne Arundel County, there's a caution in the area of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in regard to the Military Bowl later today. A parade at 10 a.m. will cause some road closures from the City Dock area heading toward the stadium.

The Maryland Transit Administration says MARC is operating on an "S" schedule on the Brunswick and Penn Line.  There is no service on the Camden Line today. Camden and Penn Line tickets are "cross-honored" between the two lines for travel to equivalent zones.
