Baltimore Sun staff picks for Ravens at Bengals

December 26, 2013

The Baltimore Sun's experts make their predictions for the Week 17 game between the Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Monique Jones

Bengals 17, Ravens 14

There is quite a bit on the line for both teams, but the Bengals aren't going to just give in because they've already made the playoffs. The Ravens are going to need to be better than they have been the previous two weeks to walk away with a win.

Mike Preston

Ravens 21, Bengals 17

The Ravens have too much pride to go out with that egg they laid last week. Joe Flacco usually rebounds well after losses, and Andy Dalton can get rattled if his team gets off to a slow start.

Peter Schmuck

Ravens 26, Bengals 23

Don't know what's going to happen in Miami or San Diego, but the Ravens will take care of the business they can take care of and Justin Tucker will come through at the end like he always does. Ravens fans have to pray that's enough.

Matt Vensel

Ravens 26, Bengals 24

The Bengals are hot at home, but the Ravens have always found a way to win games like this under John Harbaugh. But can they get the help they need elsewhere to get in the playoffs?

Aaron Wilson

Bengals 24, Ravens 20

Motivated by an opportunity to earn a first-round bye, the Bengals finish undefeated at home for first time since the 1988 season, when they went to the Super Bowl.

Jeff Zrebiec

Bengals 26, Ravens 20

The Ravens' season and their five-year playoff run officially ends against an opponent that has been better and more consistent all year. The Bengals don't want to see the Ravens in the first round of the postseason, and they'll make sure they won't.

Stan "The Fan" Charles

Bengals 27, Ravens 14

The high point of the 2013 Ravens season will end up being the stirring four-game winning streak. John Harbaugh has his first playoff-less season. The mysterious lackluster effort against the Patriots had an awful lot to do with Joe Flacco not being up to snuff. He still isn't.
